Twitter for Mac is updated

One of the functions that the official application of the social network did not have Twitter for Mac is to update our timeline in real time to receive new messages instantly. This meant that the user had to refresh the timeline in order to receive the messages and made the app unproductive.

This time the new function implemented in the version 8.17 The official Twitter account is precisely this, that now we can activate the function so that our timeline is automatically updated with new messages. Of course, we also have improvements in the app's own security and stability.

Normally, this option is already deactivated, so the most recent tweets will not be seen even if we update. To be able to enjoy this new function we have to click on the button in the upper right part (which has a star shape) and activate the function. So when we scroll to the top of our timeline we will see automatically the new publications.

This update also solves some bugs in the app itself and makes those of us who use a Twitter client other than the original think a little more about the change to the official one. There are many advantages that we now find in the official app, although it is true we have a series of disadvantages. For color tastes, although it is true that in recent times the original application of both macOS and iOS are getting the batteries and each time they are better. Remember that this application is totally free for download on macOS.
