The Twitterrific application is available on macOS thanks to the crowdfunding campaign created by the guys at The Iconfactory, a campaign that was more successful than expected. Thanks to it, users of Twitterrific for iOS can also enjoy a version for macOS, although the rate of updates in macOS is different from what we can find in the version for iPhone and iPad.
The application for Mac has just been updated adding one of the novelties that came from the complete redesign that Twitterrific underwent for iOS a few months ago. I'm talking about the possibility see the images of our timeline in real size, that is, if we click on it, the same image as in the tweet in question will be displayed, without it being cropped to fit in.
This function allows us to visit our timeline even faster without having to click on the images that may interest us, either to see a detail or to see it in full. Another new feature that has been added is the possibility of citing tweets with images, videos or GIFs included, as well as new themes (Swan, Dove, Akikiki, Raven, Puffin, Falcon, Parakeet, Blackbird and Trogon) and different icons for the application (Flamingo, Pinkachu, Dove), just like we can find in the iOS version.
If you are Twitterrific users for iOS, you can see how most of the new functions that have come from the hand of this new update They are the same that were already available in the iOS version. In this way, we can use the same design on both platforms, so that the change between them is not so abrupt visually.
Twitterrific has a price in the Mac App Store of 8,99 euros, requires OS X 10.11.6 and 64-bit processor. The application is only available in English, something that to this day I still do not understand if we take into account the time the application has been on the market, at least on iOS.
