One of the great novelties presented by Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), in its new commercial strategy is the free software. Indeed, and thus distancing itself from the competition, Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), has made the decision to offer both its desktop operating system, OS X Mavericks, like your own applications for editing texts, presentations, videos ... iWork and iLife.
If on the one hand OS X Mavericks y GarageBand is absolutely free for all users, in the case of Pages, Numbers, Keynote, iMovie, and iPhoto This free is conditional on the acquisition of a new equipment, as in the case of its mobile versions for iOS. However, there is a small and easy trick that will allow us to update the previous versions of these apps, in addition to Aperture, to the new and remodeled ones completely free and legal.
To do this, we just have to follow a few simple steps:
- We enter the System Settings and Language, change the language of our equipment to English and restart.
- We open Mac App Store, we look for new updates and we will see how we have available all the updates for the applications that integrate iWork and iLife and Aperture. We update.
- Finally, we repeat the first step, but this time selecting the Spanish language to return our team to the initial language.
After that, we will have the new versions of these fabulous applications and, if we access the "Purchased" section or look for any of them in the Mac App Store We will check how its status has changed to "Installed", being able to enjoy all its functionalities forever.
I hope this little trick is interesting for you, it has given me great joy.
Can it be done from an iPhone or an iPad ???
No, only from the desktop Apps!
Well, at the moment I don't have a Mac, so I have to wait for the trick for iOS
It has not worked for me. They should have been installed and what does the update to the latest version do for free?
after a couple of attempts it has worked perfectly, thanks for the note !!
I tried it about a month ago and it worked perfectly, I did not know that XD could still be done well by Apple
With iwork today you can apply the trick of downloading and installing the trial version prior to the current one and from updates the update will appear to the new one, complete and legal, without paying or registering anything. I suppose the other two do too, but in my case I'm not interested. This verified today that I already have them working in extended version, not trial. Simple strategy for apple to spread its products.
