Forecast Bar is an application for macOS that has been in the Mac application store for a long time. We have recently reached version 4, The current strategy seems to indicate that the application will be free, when it has come to cost € 9,99. On the other hand, if you offer us notification about the weather change or a storm that is coming, we will have to go through the checkout.
By downloading the application to test it, we can access a large number of services. The application is installed in the menu bar, where if we wish, we can see the real time weather and temperature, from the location that we have by default.
From there we can make important configurations. iCloud sync maintains established locations between all devices. In addition, a multitude of images allow us to customize the background image when we access the tempo information.
On the other hand, the application is very accurate and provides a lot of information, among which we find:
- Current conditions, current temperature, wind chill, maximum and minimum temperature and relative humidity.
- But we can also access a brief report on the weather in the next few hours or days. This report is available in 18 languages and curiously, it is not in Spanish.
- Also we can configure up to 20 meteorological parameterssuch as the speed of time or the proximity of the nearest storm.
- The application has animated images about the forecast of rain and temperature in the next 8 hours.
- When we detect rain in the next hour, a graph indicates its intensity.
- The ability to access advanced information of the meteorological situation such as: wind speed, dew point, humidity, atmospheric pressure, sunrise and sunset times, moon phases, UV index.
Forecast Bar can be downloaded from the Mac App Store and is currently free. Within the app we can subscribe to different services so that it updates in the background and informs us of last minute weather changes.
