Use your Hangouts account from the Messages app for Mac

We have always liked applications that perform several actions at the same time. Having a single interface where you can access all the information is a very practical option and saves us a great deal of time. This time we will know how to incorporate our Hangouts account in the Messages application, to communicate with the users of this messaging network, as well as send all kinds of files, emoticons, all integrated into the application itself. In this tutorial we explain how to configure the google account or google talk, as some know it.

The first thing to do is open the messages app. If you don't have it located, you can always invoke it from the spotlight, pressing Cmd + space. Once we have the application open, tap on the text, messages, which is in the upper left, right next to the bitten apple. The third option is Add Account. We must click on it.

Next, he will show us a small menu, where he lets us choose the service that we want to register. In this case, we will click on Google and select continue. For some time now, when we want to register a google service, a small window appears, similar to the browser, where we must indicate the email assigned to the account of google that we have to communicate by Hangouts.

After this step, you will be able to communicate with your contacts by selecting the google account.

It may be the case that you have activated two-factor authentication for Google (as it should), in which case, you will have to generate a specific password for the application to create messages on the Mac. Finally, tell you that if you are a user of AOL, you can do the same process, only by selecting the AOL option instead of Google.
