Vienna Apple Store will be the first store to open in Europe after coronavirus

Apple Store Vienna

During the conference where both Tim Cook and Luca Maestri announced Apple's business figures for the company's second fiscal quarter (first quarter 2020), Tim Cook announced that some Apple Stores would begin to open their doors throughout the month of May, aiming at Austria and Australia as the main protagonists.

A few days later, Apple in Austria has officially confirmed through its spokesperson, that on May 5, that is to say today, Apple Kärntner Straße will reopen its doors, focusing on offering technical support and service to its customers.

Apple published the announcement of the reopening of its only store in Austria through the following statement.

We look forward to welcoming visitors to Apple Kärntner Straße again on Tuesday, May 5. We miss our customers and are looking forward to supporting them. As many Austrians work and learn from home and conditions develop, we will initially focus on providing service and support to our customers.

The reopening of this store, is associated with strict safety precautions that all visitors must respect social distancing, wear a protective mask and allow store employees to take your temperature when entering. The opening hours will be reduced and although it has not been indicated what it will be, it will probably be the same that Apple implemented in the progressive reopening of stores in China, that is, from 10 in the morning to 6 or 7 in the afternoon.

In this way, the only Apple Store available in Austria, becomes the first to open its doors outside of China (where all the stores have been open for a month) and South Korea, where a few days ago the only Apple Store that Apple has in Samsung's country opened.
