Vinoteka, an app (too expensive) for wine lovers

Wine app

It is said that on the iPhone there are applications for almost everything, but for Mac things are not far behind, and a good proof of this is this surprising application to manage our winery or private wine collection.

Pretty but incomplete

The first thing that catches the attention of the application is the neat interface it has. It is highly integrated with the aesthetics of OS X (although for Yosemite they will have to give it a facelift) and the organization of the elements borders on perfection, making it very simple and intuitive to use at all times even by less expert Mac users.

Although it has numerous strengths, there are others that in an application of this price should be more worked. A good example is that it has synchronization with iOS mobile devices, but incomprehensibly we cannot synchronize two Mac wine libraries, so if we have more than one Apple computer we will have to have virtual wine cellars independent in each. To this must be added that some important designations of origin do not appear in the application, so we will have to enter all the data for said wine by hand and the correct bottle will not be generated.

The price of the application is $35,99, a price that makes us think two or three times about the purchase as is logical. If you are a true wine enthusiast and have a large collection, it may be worth it, but if not, it is difficult for me to justify the cost of the app.
