If there is something that is necessary every morning, it is for something or someone to wake us up so that we can start the day on the right foot and that we do not choke on time being late for work or daily commitments. So much so that we have always known for decades the alarm clocks that fulfilled this function and that more than once have suffered our wrath, but that are leaving room for the new ones. devices like smartphones or even our computers with different applications like the one we bring you today.

Wake Up Time is developed by the company Rocky Sand Studio and a wake-up device will be installed in our system that will be displayed on the screen so that we can set the time to which we want to wake up.

Actually, as I asked myself at the beginning, surely you think what advantages it has to leave the Mac on and in sleep for a simple background alarm clock. The explanation is very simple, in my way of seeing if you are not one of those users who always leave the equipment on and never turn it off, I don't think it should be used consistently on a daily basis, but when we have to leave the Mac performing tasks at night, whether they are downloads or any other type of editing or assembly work ... we can in turn leave the alarm clock as secondary since energy expenditure is unnecessary.

Although as I have already told you personally, it is more comfortable for me use my iPhone as an alarm clock although it is not enough to have it for these cases.

The operation itself is simple, from application preferences we can change alarm sounds and repeating it in time intervals. There is also a "Pro" option at 1,79 Euros in the Mac App Store that only adds a greater number of skins with different clocks and shapes.
