Waves of "phishing" in email continue

A fake email from Apple will try to steal your personal data

We have already talked about this on previous occasions but it is important to remember from time to time what we have to do in the event that we receive an email signed by a "supposed Apple" that what it wants is for us to press a link to solve a security problem by changing the password, paying for an app or iCloud failure.

This time again a couple of emails in my inbox They remind me again that phishing (identity theft) is the order of the day and we cannot fail to warn all our friends, acquaintances and relatives, to be careful when opening an email that comes from Apple, Google or any other site with a link in its description asking us to fill out a form or pay for something that we do not remember having bought.

In this case it is an alleged apple mail in which they ask me to change my account password, there are a lot of details that show that this is a clear case of phishing, such as the sender's email address or even some mistakes, but some may really believe it if they do not notice or are not familiar with this type of fake emails in their email accounts. It is important to open this type of email on the Mac, so we can see everything more clearly and above all not be in a hurry to change the password or pay that invoice if they ask to pay something.

What can we do in these cases?

Apart from not giving any information about our account or similar, we can report these emails to Apple. In this case, what I did is look for the Apple email account and send the email from Phishing to Apple, for this you have to use these two accounts:

  • If you receive an email that appears to be from Apple and you suspect that it is a spoofing attempt, send it to reportphishing@apple.com.
  • To report spam or other suspicious email that you have received in your inbox on your iCloud.com, me.com, or mac.com, send it to abuse@icloud.com.
  • To report spam or other suspicious email that you have received via iMessage, tap Spam below it.
