We tested the Hoco stainless steel strap for the 42mm Apple Watch

This week I got the strap for the signature Apple Watch, Hoco. We are sure that more than one of you has thought of buying a metal strap or similar to this one in the multitude of Chinese stores that have countless models to choose from, in my case the choice was the Hoco for the 42mm Apple Watch in black, since I have the space gray model.

Integrated

This strap has undoubtedly a much more elegant design than the rubber (special high-performance fluoroelastomer) that the Watch Sport model has. We can see very good details in this Hoco, how for example the closure of the same that is very well designed and closes perfectly or the smoothness with which the links 'move' to fit the wrist. Another important detail on this strap is that it add a little more weight to the set without being annoying, giving the feeling of wearing a different watch.

Another detail to take into account is that the width of the strap is somewhat higher than the original Apple rubber, not much but something. We will not have problems with the length of the Hoco either, since measures without the Apple Watch on about 17 cm which means that with the Apple watch we have a total of approximately 21 cm.

On the 'negative side' we can talk about the hitch that goes directly to the Apple Watch, this has in my case the central button that is the one of the spring something more out of the ordinary, but it does not affect the subjection and we can say that it is not a problem for its use. The hitch itself is a very personal issue and really it is a very well finished hitch that can be measured from you to you calmly with the models that Apple uses for its leather straps (black strap with classic and modern buckle) in design, but that personally does not convince me at all since it is not part of the strap. This is the point where we all put our hands on our heads when Apple showed the prices of its straps for the Apple Watch, but we were also sure that third-party companies would say theirs in this regard and it has been.
