What does Apple have in mind regarding the 12-inch MacBooks and MacBook Airs?

FaceID MacBook

As September's Keynote draws closer, rumors begin to grow regarding the future of certain production lines of the bitten apple company. In this case I want to reflect a little on what awaits us regarding the line of 12-inch MacBook and the line of the MacBook Air.

Remember that with the arrival of the 12-inch Macbook, Apple quietly eliminated the 11-inch model of the MacBook Air, leaving and upgrading the hardware from there on the 13-inch MacBook Air.

That said, what the rumors suggest is that the 13-inch MacBook Air would not disappear and would be reinvented to be able to meet the needs of people who need a little more screen diagonal but not of power to have to buy a 13-inch MacBook Pro.

If we consider what I have said, the question that comes to mind is, will Apple simply add a Retina display to the MacBook Air and reduce the aluminum frames that already seem outdated and obsolete? Will you add the new 12-inch MacBook keyboard mechanism and Trackpad with Force Touch?

If I tell you the truth, I do not believe that Apple continues to maintain the current 13 MacBook Air chassis, although I do believe that it continues to maintain the name of the production line. We would have the MacBook reimagined for the 12-inch, the MacBook Air reimagined in the style of MacBook for the 13-inch, and the current 13-inch and 15-inch MacBook Pros. In this way, with a single movement the Macbook of 12 evolves, the 13 MacBook Air to the current 12 MacBook design, and the current 13 and 15 MacBook Pros are still being manufactured.

However, everything I have told you is my way of seeing what the card game that Apple could have on the table will be. What do you think?

    I have a 21,5 inch iMac from 2015 and lately I bought a 13,5 inch MacBook Air from 2017.
What do i think Well, after buying an iPad (which is already obsolete), a Watch of the first ones that came out and that cannot get wet, and an iPhone 5s that a few after its appearance was also considered out of date ..., I feel totally ripped off by APPLE .
I understand that the company's sales policy tries to stay afloat thanks to the purchases that "idiots" like me are buying. But, I start to feel RIPPED by this type of embarrassing hardware manufacturing that a month after appearing is supposed to be out of date and that the comments of people who know what is said about it (like you, in this case) warn about the disappearance of Apple models on the market. This means, of course, that in the event that our "brand new" Apple is "broken" for any reason, we will have to throw it away and buy another one that is also VERY EXPENSIVE for the average Spanish users and, I suppose, for others. If this is the case, I'm sorry, Apple will have let me down (as surely it will have let down many others)… What do you think?

Hi Pedro, I have been with Apple for a long time and I have never felt cheated. What you say, that you buy a device and a month is out of date is totally false. If you browse the net a bit, you know perfectly well that iPhones are renewed in September of each year, just as Samsung does in August with theirs. If you are looking for a Mac, they are usually updated in October and iPads have often been released in March. Now, if you buy an iPhone X today on August 28, it is clear that on September 12-13 it will already be an older model because Apple does not wait for everyone to buy. Keep evolving. The 2017 MacBook Air will be discontinued shortly, yes, you will have 5 years of possible repairs under the wing of Apple. If you want advice, when you go to buy a technological device from Apple, Samsung, Sony or even a car of whatever brand, you should find out how long the model has been on the market because it may be that you spend € 26.000 on a car that in a month is old because a new model comes out. Thanks for the input. Already in September we will see the news. For now I have a 12-inch MacBook three years ago and it is luxurious.

Hi, I'm a graphic design student and I'm thinking of buying a macbook. I do not understand much about models and I would like you to recommend me the best model or tell me what characteristics I have to look at better. Thanks a lot.
