This year's WWDC and the OS X rumors to date

mac-os-1984

OS X how might it be renamed macOS This Monday, June 13, and in addition to the name, it is expected that they will add different news to surprise the attendees of the event and obviously the rest of Mac users.

The initial meaning of the acronym macOS It comes from the English Macintosh Operating System, which we can easily translate into Spanish as the Macintosh Operating System. This macOS officially arrived on the market in 1985 from Apple and ended up being called OS X in 1999 (the first version was Mac OS X Server 1.0) after making important changes to its interface. But there are more news in addition to the more than certain name change ..

Apple has very high expectations in this WWDC and as in previous occasions the rumors have happened in the network in droppers. The truth is that we can say that not much has been leaked about the changes in its different OS, but there are details how the possibility of Siri reaching the Mac. This option would add the user new options to interact with the machine and at the same time we hope that Siri improves a little more in terms of productivity.

On the other hand and with less force as far as rumors are concerned, some media warned of the possibility of increase Continuity capabilities. Handoff is in charge of allowing any application from our Mac to be shared to the iPhone, iPad and vice versa, but now there is even talk of the automatic unlocking of our Mac when it detects that the iPhone or iPad is nearby. This would even be valid between the iPhone and the Apple Watch, but it will be necessary to see how far this continuity will reach.

All the improvements to iTunes and Apple Music they are already practically a reality and Apple has also got to work with the iOS application store, the App Store. All this will add details to the new Mac operating system and hopefully they will also push the Mac application store a little more, which needs it. There is less to get out of doubt and see what they show us and which of these rumors and leaks are true.

Olalá OS X will not only change its name, but it will return to being the stable and friendly OS that I knew years ago. the one that only needed 1 GB of ram, the one that with few resources made applications turn on and off and start almost instantly. Today to achieve that we need an i7 processor, a Solid Hard Drive and 8 GB of RAM, it's crazy for God. Or spend 30,000 chuchulucos on a new machine that you can't add anything to. May Jobs forgive them.
