"Your next computer is not a computer" this is the new Apple ad

iPad Pro advertisement

And it is that the iPad and the iPad Pro are taking to the extreme the possibilities that users have of doubting about the purchase of a MacBook or an iPad Pro with the new Magic Keyboard. Many may need a MacBook yes or yes, but the power and versatility that the iPad Pro offers with its Magic Keyboard sets the bar very high.

We know that they are different products and especially with different software, something that to this day continues to make a difference, although it is getting closer and closer to performing all the tasks that a MacBook Pro allows us to perform with an iPad Pro and its spectacular keyboard. We continue to see that there is software in macOS that is not available in iOS, but the differences are becoming shorter ...

To give a simple and price-based example. The new 13-inch Macbook Pro with the new keyboard and more has a base price of 1.499 euros and this year's iPad Pro with the Magic Keyboard amounts to 1.218 euros in its 11-inch model, but if we use a 12,9-inch iPad Pro configuration that would be the most similar to the MacBook Pro in terms of screen, we let's go to the 1.498 euros. Without a doubt the difference between these models is minimal.

For its part, Apple continues to announce loudly that "Our next computer is not a computer" And it really seems that the way is precisely that, stop selling MacBooks to sell iPads:

Everything suggests that Apple is directing its sales towards the iPad Pro and this can confuse users on many occasions, but the market commands the versatility that an iPad Pro offers when you "release" it from its keyboard, no MacBook can give it to you right now. We understand Apple's position and the announcement itself, so we understand where the firm is taking us but what about you, are you more like a MacBook or an iPad? If you have to buy equipment for everything you do now, Do you jump to the MacBook Pro or iPad Pro with its keyboard?

I choose Macbook my whole life. Undoubtedly, the iPad has many limitations in terms of software, and for different areas a complete computer is irreplaceable. Even Mac OS sometimes has certain limitations, but it is fixable with bootcamp, which is not feasible on iPad. The versatility of a tablet is excellent for many uses, but personally I don't think this can be a replacement for a computer.
