The so-called titan project that we have already talked about on occasion, is nothing more than the initiative of certain sectors in Apple to create a new generation electric car and from what you see, the project is still very much alive.

Proof of this is that those from Cupertino have just hired one of the senior manufacturing executives industry to help finalize Apple's entry into the auto market.

Without going any further today "The Wall Street Journal" reports that Doug Betts, previously Chrysler Group Senior Vice President, has been hired by Apple although it is not yet known in what specific position. What we do know is that Betts was previously global head of operations at Chrystler, being directly responsible for quality and service.

As I mentioned, there is still no official confirmation from Apple, but on Mr. Betts' LinkedIn profile page he states that started working at Apple this July in a position related to the operations of the sector.

In any case, this has not been the only hiring by Apple, as it recently also hired Paul Furgale, a researcher of technologies focused on autonomous vehicles. What's more, it is even said that they would be looking for other employees to fill advanced robotics positions and who can bring experience to this Titan project. This move by Apple makes clear the desire to compete in this field with Google, one of the pioneering technology companies in this technology applied to vehicles so that they are autonomous or in other words, without the need for a driver.

Whatever the truth, we will have to wait and see what happens but it seems clear that Apple is making a huge effort on this project, even with everything we will have to wait at least until 2020 to see something related to all this.
