The auctions of personal or peculiar items of different personalities are very common, since they revalue over time depending on who had been the owner. This is the case of the auction that It took place this past Saturday and that it put up for sale different personal belongings owned by Apple co-founder Steve Jobs.

These items are part of the Sheffield brand collection, belonging to Mark Scheff, a health food chef who was also the manager of Jobs' farm located in Albany, California during the 80s.

According to this chef, Steve Jobs was looking for staff to help him. We grow organic gardening and natural foods to experiment in the kitchen. I kept the items when Jobs no longer wanted them, some were kept and others were given to friends and people close to Jobs, so the collection of items that are auctioned is quite peculiar and different.

In total the items for the auction include:

  • A pair of used sandals Birkenstock brand
  • Una high neck sweatshirt by NeXT
  • Un seiko wristwatch used
  • And finally a group of four smaller items, including a Steve Jobs business card that he used to do business, another NeXT card, an early 80s Apple pen, and a shipping card.

All items were auctioned for a bid price of $ 850 each one, that is, the entire group of articles had a starting value of $ 3.400.

It should be noted that Scheff previously donated three business cards to the Marin School which were sold later for $ 10.500.

Although they have a certain value for certain collectors, I personally prefer the devices created by this genius of marketing and corporate image like the Apple I and of which we talk in this other article.
