A security breach is detected in Quick View

Quick View

Apple has to be working hard with the security flaw that is being named in the last hours a lot on the network and is that in Quick View Your database cache is not encrypted and can be accessed without user control.

As you know, one of the notable improvements of the new macOS Mojave is that everything that has to do with the security of the system and its applications has been improved in it. However, although Quick View has improved in its functions it still has a security breach today.

Quick View It exposes sensitive user data ranging from thumbnails of images to text of documents even when stored on encrypted drives. As you know, in Quick View we have the quick view option in which you just select a file and press the space bar, we are shown a thumbnail of the file that we can see.

To do this, the application creates a database in the form of thumbnails where it stores the data. So far everything is correct except that when you do this work, if the file is protected it does not protect the information from the quick view which would be the most correct.

This problem is not from now but from long ago and Apple itself is aware of all this, so it is not known what is the reason why it has not made the decision to solve this bug and that is that all of us have a Mac we make use of this type of operation when we work daily.

Agora well, one thing must be noted and that is that if the main hard drive is encrypted, so will the cache Quick View. The solution then passes through manually delete this cache each time compromised information is used.
