Apple Pay has won today two important supporters for the United Kingdom en forma de Tesco Bank y TSB. Customers can now add cards to the service through the app 'Coin purse' on your iOS device, but there are some restrictions.
Tesco Bank has said that you need a Tesco Bank credit card issued by MasterCard to be used with Apple Pay, cards issued by Visa not currently supported. It should also be noted that while Tesco Bank and TSB now offer support for Apple Pay, not all of their stores across the UK have the required ones. NFC terminals to be able to use them, but that will be implemented in a short time.
TSB does not set any limitations on its page for Apple Pay support, but it does offer some nice promotions to its customers. Those who use Apple Pay with their 'Classic Plus' and with their credit cards before December 2016, will earn 5 percent in cash refund of payments they have made for the first £ 100, each month until the end of the year.
The only major bank in the UK that remains still does not support the Apple Pay It's Barclays, much to the disappointment of their customers. The company originally had no interest in supporting Apple's serviceBut the backlash from all the banks, and their customers, may convince Barclays to change its mind. Nevertheless, Barclays has yet to provide us with a release date, which is not expected to launch even in early 2016.
