Apple TV + it is not the platform par excellence from the apple company. This we knew for a long time and not because Apple is not putting effort into it. There is something that prevents users from getting hooked on it. Series, movies or documentaries are not yet good enough to have a large user quota.
Despite the global pandemic caused by the coronavirus, during which people spend more time in our homes, Apple TV + user share has not increased. It seems that it has reached a point, that it neither rises nor falls. The news is not good, but from this last piece of information, we could say that it is not bad either.
According to a study by Antenna (which collects data through credit card payments), the number of Apple TV + subscriptions so far they reach 10 million. A not inconsiderable figure, but very poor if we compare it for example with that obtained by Disney +: 50 million.
The company has not made its subscriber numbers official, so for the moment the data provided is by a third company. But there is an important and relevant fact. The pandemic has helped service in a way that may not have been expected.
Another analysis by Parrot Analytics is based on the fact that, despite not having grown during the pandemic, the demand share, it has increased by about 10%. One of the causes of this growth is undoubtedly the series starring Chris Evans "Defending Jacob".
Apple will not relent in its efforts to take this entertainment division through streaming to the top and therefore is betting heavily on acquiring new content full of stars. The last one, having reached an agreement for the rights of "Greyhound" which will star Tom Hanks.
