While in the world of computing, cloud services continue to evolve as well as the options of each of them, companies such as Apple and Google They continue to give rise to the issue of backups and synchronizations with the different devices that the user has in terms of photos and videos.
As we all know, Apple in its iCloud cloud saves us a certain number of photos in the backup copies of our devices. On the other hand, we have the photo streaming service that keeps us a large number of them fluctuating between the devices that we have linked. Now Google arrives and improves the service of Picasa.
Today we tell you that Google has updated the version of Picasa for OSX including a new utility that they have called Google+ Auto Backup. This utility will work in such a way that, in the background, it will make an automatic backup of the photos and videos of the folders that we indicate in our Google+ account. The limit of photos that we can upload does not exist as long as the photos that we upload do not exceed 2048 pixels. If the size is larger, it will start to count the space we have on Google Drive.
In addition, like Dropbox, it gives us the possibility to automatically save a copy of the photos and videos on pendrives or memory cards that we connect to the computer.
In order to have Google+ Auto Backup, you must download Picasa from the official website and you will see that although this new utility has nothing to do with Picasa, it comes within the DMG that we downloaded.
