We recently told you about the update Musashi 3.50 presented for Playstation 4 that would allow users play remotely, thanks to streaming technology, PS4 titles on Mac OS X. For those of us who hope that Apple decides to get involved in the world of video games with greater emphasis and with more serious bets, this represents a great advance.

What you need to connect your PS4 to Mac OS X
Un compatible computer, PS4 system upgraded to Musashi 3.50, DualShock with the corresponding USB cable, a Sony Entertainment Network account and a fast internet connection with upload and download speeds of at least 5 Mbps (recommended by cable).
Before you begin, make sure your Mac meets all requirements software and hardware necessary for everything to work properly.

PS4 Setup for Remote Play in OS X
To configure your PS4 -previously updated with Musashi 3.50-, follow these 3 steps within the settings:
- Activate Remote Play: Settings> Remote Play connection settings. Once in this option, check the box "Activate Remote Play."
- Activate the system as the primary PS4 system: Settings> PlayStation Network / Account Management> Activate as your primary PS4> Activate.
- To perform remote play in standby mode: Settings> Power saving settings> Set functions available in sleep mode. Here, check the boxes for "Stay connected to the Internet" and "Enable turning on the PS4 from the network."
If you have not followed the second step, you should Pair the console with Mac manually. Connect them through the same network and follow the instructions that will appear on your screen.
After making these adjustments, your team will be ready for the Remote Play. Turn on your PS4 (or activate sleep mode), connect the DualShock 4 to your computer via USB, launch the "Remote Play" application from OS X, press "Start" and sign up with Sony Entertainment Network account that you use on your PS4.
If there is any problem connecting or running the application, make sure that network connection it works correctly and that there is no device occupying a large bandwidth. If the problem persists, try this settings for resolution and frame rate in PS4 Remote Play preferences panel:
- In [Resolution], select [Standard (540p)] or [Low (360p)].
- Under [Frame Rate], select [Standard].
