We have already seen other applications with which you can share content from your Mac to your iPhone such as deskconnect but until now with none could make calls. Connect for Mac is an application that has been in the App Store for a few months now and that allows you to make phone calls, organize your contacts and even use Siri when the phone is connected to the Mac. For all these tasks it uses the Mac's Bluetooth connection and in turn of the phone and presents us with a fairly simple icon in the menu bar.
This icon will show us the phone's battery at all times and if we click on it we can also see the intensity of the signal for calls represented by five dots. To use it, we will only have to write a phone number or the name of the contact so that it can dial and we can talk through our equipment as if it were a hands-free, we can clean and view the call history and even reject them with a message where we will write what we want, in this way if they call us, we can see the incoming call in the menu bar and put "I'll call you later now I'm busy with an article."
Another curious characteristic is that right next to the preferences we will have a small icon of a microphone that when pressed we can speak through voice control on the iPhone or if we have Siri (the iOS personal assistant) we can also use it. The audio output will come through the speakers of your Mac and we can use Siri even if the screen is locked with a code in use as long as we have this option activated by default on the iPhone since if we restrict the use of Siri on that screen it will no longer be accessible.
The app has a price of 1,79 Euros and as I have already mentioned, it can be downloaded directly from the Mac App Store.
Good article Miguel Ángel, the whole team does a very good job. A question with this application you can also make calls from your mac.?
