First Benchmarks of the MacBook Pro with the Radeon Pro Vega

Last week the new 2018-inch MacBook Pro 15 with AMD Radeon Pro Vega Graphics in the apple online store, this week the first Benchmark results have already come to light.

Obviously and taking into account that we are facing the tests with a powerful MacBook with a 7 GHz Intel Core i2,6 processor, the new Radeon Pro Vega, 16 GB of RAM and a 1 TB SSD, the results are not not bad at all, getting a Final OpenCL score of 72799 points.

But the tests have also carried out these tests with the MacBook that They mount Core i9 processors and the final difference is little, with 75.817, 76.017 y 80.002 points. The truth is that the difference if we focus on the processors used is little, but when we compare these results with those obtained by the teams that mount the Radeon Pro 560X the difference is quite noticeable.

The truth is that we are facing a really powerful machine and that it is not suitable for all users since with these configurations the prices soar quite a bit, yes, the graphic power of these MacBook Pro has nothing to do with the rest. Ultimately, the user can add this configuration to high-end models with a 15-inch screen, so we are talking about the most powerful MacBook Pro even in their base versions. Add these Radeon Pro Vega 16 with 4GB HBM2 memory on the price of the equipment in 300 euros and for the model Radeon Pro Vega 20 with 4GB HBM2 memory adds 420 euros more.
