Growl, the definitive notification system

growl-offer

This morning we echoed on our Twitter, that the Growl application was on sale to € 0,89 for a limited time and it is still at this price, it is in version 2.0.1 and we seriously recommend its installation on your Mac.

Undoubtedly there are many notification systems, but this is one of those that we recommend, recently we made an article to configure the Original Mountain Lion Notification Center, this time we will see an application other than Apple, for managing notifications.

Let's start, of course, by buying the application from the Mac App Store, remember that at the moment it has a price of less than 1 euro, 0,89 euros to be exact, it will soon return to its normal price that is not excessively expensive for what it really is offers us € 3,59. We think it will be all weekend with this 75% discount, but if you can, don't wait until the last day to buy it.

Once installed, the only thing left to do is to enjoy it, we can add all the applications that we want so that they appear in the notification center, configure the place where we want the notifications to appear, we even have a history within preferences to see the latest notifications, In addition, since it is completely in Spanish, it is very easy to configure, if you still do not have it on your Mac, don't wait any longer, this is your chance.

On the AppStore it has 114 negative reviews… do you really think it's worth it?

Good Alejandro, because I think that Growl has improved a lot over time, if you look closely, the 114 negatives are based on previous versions. It is clear that I do not have the absolute truth either, worse I love it and it complements the ML very well.

      regards

I have used it since before it was in the Mac App Store, and for me it is one of the fundamental applications for OS X. At first it had problems, but right now its operation is correct.
