The HomePod power cord is not intended to be removed

What a stir has been mounted in the comments area of the article in which I have talked about the new path that Apple has taken in terms of the HomePod power cable. In that article I have talked about the new textile mesh that owns the HomePod cable that undoubtedly gives it a much more premium look while increasing its tensile and torsional strength.

However, another of the things that I commented was that the HomePod cable is not removable and what has been my surprise that several followers of the blog have told me that I should document myself well because the cable can be disassembled.

Quickly, other blog followers have been quick to reply in comments that indeed the HomePod's power cord cannot be disassembled by the end user. The fact is that due to the commotion and the ignorance or bad information of many people I must write this article. An article in which I am going to clearly lay out the reasons why the HomePod cable is said to be non-detachable.

With the arrival of the HomePod on the market, many users are dedicated to doing crazy things with it. Throw it from heights, cut it with saws, rip out its parts until it is rendered useless. In short, people, who from my point of view, they do not value the energy and raw materials that have been used to make that product and that without even giving it their useful life they break it to gain a few subscribers. Well, one of those people was quick to yank on the power cord until he managed to get it out of the HomePod.

For this he had to pull with a very great force, which indicates that Apple itself does not allow that to be done. Subsequently, the iFixit website, when cutting it down, confirms that, indeed, removing the cable is not easy and doing so could damage the connector and render the speaker unusable. So, if you are going to buy a HomePod, do not get carried away by what some do and even less say to those of us who report that we must contrast our sources because exactly that is why we report, so that our readers do not make mistakes of this style.

That said, if you have read this article and are going to be a future owner of a HomePod, we hope you do not make the mistake of ripping the cable out because we do not think you are going to pay almost 400 euros for it to be pulling its cable.
