The iPhone SE is the company's most recent and questionable device, and now they consider a price drop with the arrival of the iPhone 7. We could see this terminal at a cheaper price soon.
If we look back and observe the path that Apple has followed, each time a product renewal is launched, the price of the previous generation drops to even € 100. It is not much if we compare it with devices from other competing companies, such as Samsung, that even without bringing new generations to the market, launch hundreds of offers and lower their prices greatly, devaluing their own products.
The iPhone SE will be in the background
Today You can find the iPhone SE in the Apple Store for € 489 the 16Gb version is already € 589 for the 64. It is not that cheap when compared to the US price that they announced in the spring keynote, which was only $ 399. Then you would have to add taxes, but even so it is still much more expensive in Spain.
If it was already considered the cheapest iPhone in history despite its great power, rear camera and battery, when compared with the iPhone 7 it will be a bit dated by not having 3D Touch technology which brought the iPhone 6s. One way or another, it will almost certainly drop in price, although perhaps not more than € 50. We would be talking about the iPhone SE going to cost 349 dollars, which in Spain would be about € 449, a very small change. These are just theories and rumors, so we don't know anything exactly yet.
What if they don't lower the price?
The possibility that Apple will wait until March or April to launch a new 4-inch terminal could also mean keep iPhone SE price in September and directly replace it with a new «Special Edition» of similar price. But I believe that this type of device should not come out every year, but every two or three years. If every year there is a special edition, then it will not be so special. This leads us to a path of 3 different sizes for the iPhone. 4, 4,7, 5,5 inch.
