MacKeeper and the class action lawsuit of numerous users

After seeing a little tutorial on how uninstall MacKeeper of our Mac, today we are going to see the progress of a group demand created by some users last year in which developer Zeobit is asked to refund the app's money for intrusive advertising, automatic downloads, etc.. Now, all those North American users who bought the application before July 8 of this year have until November 30 to present the required data and have the full money of the application returned with the approximately 2 million dollars that Zeobit agreed to pay.

The 513.330 users who bought MacKeeper in the United States and joined the class action lawsuit, they will receive by email the economic proposal offered by the developer, but the number of users and the price they paid for the application in its day ($ 39,95) not covered by the amount of money offered by the developer. All this added to the possibility for the former owner and developer Zeobit, to 'appeal' this class action lawsuit on September 21, while affected users will be able to respond to the appeal on October 16.

For now, one of the solutions is not to install the application or delete it directly with the tutorial that we have left at the beginning of this post, then use some type of third-party program like the well-known Adwaremedic which now changed its name and called Malwarebytes to completely remove any trace. It would also be interesting if Apple added this application in its Xprotect, but not at the moment.
