Microsoft Office 2014 for Mac about to launch

OFFICE 2014 FOR MAC

After all the hype that has been formed with the launch of Microsoft Office Online, the OneDrive service and more, now the rumor is circulating that Microsoft is finally planning to introduce an update to the office suite for Mac in 2014.

The last time Apple released a version of the suite was in October 2010, currently being on version 14.3.9, so this news is very important for OSX users.

As we have told you in the opening paragraphs of this post, Microsoft is planning to release an updated version of Microsoft Office, version 2014, as Thorsten Hübschen, Head of the Microsoft Germany Business Group at the Cebit fair in Hanover, has indicated.

Although little information is available on the possible release date, Hübschen said, we will have more news about the product during the second quarter of 2014. The current Microsoft Office for Mac software was released more than three years ago, in October 2010.

At the Cebit fair in Hanover, Hübschen said that there are now development teams for each of the Office applications that will ensure versions of their applications for the different platforms, in this case being both the version for OSX and the version for tablets with iOS and Android.

The team is hard at work on the next version of Office for Mac. Although I don't have details to share about the calendar, when it is available, Office 365 subscribers will automatically receive the next version of Office for Mac at no additional cost.

The company is also said to be working on an iPad version of the suite, but it's unclear if that app could make it.
