Some time ago we already talked about the new Intel processors called SkyLake, which are expected to be the ones we will see mounted on new Macs from the second half of 2015, but considering Apple's updates to their Macs, we may also not see these processors on all Apple machines until 2016. These new processors are built in 14 nanometers, which implies a lower consumption and higher performance in the machine. New information about these processors has now been leaked where you can see new information about specifications and performance details.

In the images that have been filtered you can see some details that confirm the improvement over the previous version called: Broadwell, and the emphasis is on superior battery life thanks to the construction architecture. They also show details between the different versions of the processor: Y, U, H, S. In the case of the new 12-inch MacBooks released by Apple this year, the processor used is the Y series, which increases the performance of the integrated graphics chip in processing speed.

The other models of this SkyLake do not appear in these filtered images but that is known of its existence by previous leaks and these are destined in the future for iMac, MacBook Air, MacBook Pro, Mac mini and Mac Pro. Possibly the T Series for the MacBook Air, the H Series for the MacBook Pro and the S Series for the desktop.

Apple has had a long tug of war with Intel processors and for the Cupertino company relying on third parties to manufacture processors has caused several headaches and even some launch delays. Many are those who raise questions about whether Apple will end up making its own processors in the future, but it seems that at the moment this is far from the thoughts of the company and more seeing that it is updating the Macs with a slow but constant rhythm.
