Apple has just released the new OS X 10.11 El Capitan for developers and there are many questions that we answer as time passes and we discover its specifications. After a good summary of some of the news that Apple adds to this newly released OS X, now we will see in detail each and every one of the machines that initially have to support this new operating system no problem. Apple does not add major changes to the current OS X Yosemite, but without a doubt we are facing an improved version that will surely give us many joys, we go with the Macs that support this OS X El Capitan.

The list is long and let's start with the Mac Pro from early 2008 or later, in addition to:

  • IMacs from mid-2007 or later
  • MacBook Airs from late 2008 or later
  • 13-inch MacBooks from late 2008 and early 2009 or later
  • 13-inch MacBook Pros from mid-2009 or later
  • 15-inch Macbook Pros from mid-2007 or later
  • Late 17 or later 2007-inch Macbook Pros
  • Mac minis from early 2009 or later
  • Late 2009 Xserve

This is the list that we find on the developers' website. Later on when everything is explained we will make an entry with the steps to follow to install this new operating system on the Mac, that is, for the moment it is a beta version and therefore we do not recommend its installation as the main operating system on your Mac.

If I already saw that, but there is no way in the MBP-3.1 beats 2007 santa rosa… .. with the El Capitan installer pen, it starts up alt key, it takes a while and then it starts with the internal disk, the same pen with my other mac mini late 2012… it worked for an external disk… ..
