The new OS X Yosemite operating system scores really good percentages when it comes to user adoption. Apple officially released the new OS X 10.10 on last Thursday the 19th and the first figures on the installations in the Mac could not be better.

OS X Yosemite is found totally free from the first day of its launch for everyone in the Mac App Store like Mavericks, but the interest raised by the new operating system is greater than its predecessor partly because of the new flatter design and above all because of the new continuity options with iOS, therefore the first figures on the installation of Yosemite show that it improves Mavericks.

All the  OS X Yosemite beta versions They already obtained good figures in terms of installations thanks to the 'beta testers' program launched by Apple for users who do not have a developer account, now we have the first unofficial results of installations once the public version has been released and show an increase of 0,8% respect Mavericks facilities after its first 24 hours of life.

The figure continues to grow and is that most Mac users want to have this new and improved OS X installed. The work done by Apple with it is really good and most users indicate a level of satisfaction really el evado when we asked about the new Yosemite. In addition, these figures continue to grow with each passing day and it is possible that in the not too distant future we will see really spectacular figures in terms of installations of the new OS X.

And you already installed it?

It gave me a problem a little before the middle of the installation, I restarted it and finished doing it, the problem now is that the closing and the boot is very slow, I tried to return to the Mavericks but I did not finish doing it, like this I'll wait to see if the first update fixes everything for me.
    Regards,

Did you upgrade or install from scratch? It happened to me with Lion and I decided to do an installation from scratch and the difference was noticed.

I have made the update, I am already afraid of getting into an installation from scratch in case it cuts me again, trying to reinstall Mavericks the same thing happened, what do you think?

In addition to what Trotamundo65 says, you can also try to repair permissions and others from disk utility.

    You already tell us
    regards

The permissions and the verification of the disk was the first thing I did, I will do it again just in case, although I do not expect much. Thanks and regards.

I have Yosemite installed. The startup is fast, but when you want to log in it takes a while, showing a progress bar. Someone else happens? Greetings

That is exactly what happens to me, the closing takes a bit in the final part and the boot is fast, but it is delayed showing a progress bar, as if it were reinstalling something, and then it asks you for the password and everything is normal; the access to the web pages is a little slower, but not too much, this has something that is not going well. Any advice friends? My idea is to wait for the first update, unless someone convinces me of something better. Greetings,

last night more calmly install yosemite clean install on a 13 inch macbook pro retina, and ALL WRONG, shadows, the finder appears blank and does not show the files unless the finder relapses or switches to ready mode, it takes excessively long to load web pages, I have 10 megabytes of navigation and it took almost a minute to load pages that with mavericks, it loaded in seconds, apart from youtube, a disgusting thing, I think they still have a lot to polish, and the worst thing is that the mail hangs ... I think it is wiser to wait for 10.10.1 because this is still very green.

I am not very satisfied with Yosemite and therefore I want to go back to Maverick, but the problem is that I did not do the backup before updating, is it possible to do this?

The progress bar when logging in is eliminated when you deactivate the FileVault in system preference in security and privacy, however the problem that I can not solve is that the screen flickers and sometimes when I turn on the screen does not load, I hear that it turns on but the screen does not give an image, I already happened twice and one of them was in a work meeting so I decided to return to Maverick to avoid bad times ... if anyone has a solution to my problem I will appreciate it, share with me, I have one macbook pro, I7, 8 ram….
