How to change the name of our Apple Trackpad, keyboard or Magic Mouse

When we buy a new iMac computer, or even a MacBook, and assemble our setup with different accessories, we may not be entirely satisfied with the current name of the new mouse, the new trackpad or even the Apple keyboard. Therefore, in today's article, I will show you step by step through this guide, the fastest and easiest way you can change the name of these devices on your Mac.

Once you configure these devices for your new computer, you will see that the names «basic» are something similar to Magic Keyboard, Magic Mouse or Magic Trackpad depending on the accessories you have chosen. Remember that this tutorial also works for accessories from third-party brands, such as the Logitech accessories that I use, in my case, the keyboard is called MX Keys Mac and the mouse from the same company MX Master 3 Mac.

And although some users may like these names, they are not completely personalized, so let's see how we can change it. Go for it!

How to rename Magic Keyboard, Magic Mouse and Magic Trackpad

First you must make sure that the keyboard, mouse or trackpad are connected to your Mac computer.
