Stream videos quickly with QuickTime

We have always said that the applications that come standard in the Mac operating system are very powerful and allow you to do many things without having to install third-party applications. A while ago we told you how with a few simple steps you could rotate recorded videos vertically making use of the QuickTime player.

On another occasion we discussed the possibility that this application offered, unknown to many, of being able to make recordings of the screen of our Mac or a iOS device like the iPhone or iPad and even in the latest versions, the fourth generation Apple TV itself.

Today we want to tell you how to join videos in a very simple way to be able to have a final video that, perhaps, is the union of four or five individual shots. It is becoming more and more common for a user to have several pieces of video and want to join them in a single file. It is clear that to do this action We can go directly to another Apple application called iMovie or Final Cut Pro X if you want to do it in a professional way.

But that's not what we want to explain to you in this article. Here what we want is to tell you how to make a simple union of two or more videos with a simple drag and drop. Yes, that's what you really have to do to stitch videos in Quicktime.

  • The first thing you should do is open the video you want to start with.
  • Now, once you have the window in front of your eyes the only thing that you must do is select the video or videos you want to join and drop them over the window of the first video.

  • You will see that the timeline of the first video is edited and the two new ones added below will appear. Now it only remains to accept and save the new video with a new name.

As you can see, it is a simple action that allows you to have two or more videos simply joined in less than two minutes.
