There is still time for new MacBooks

macOS Sierra confirms future MacBook Pro with faster transfer

According to the new information published by the Japanese website Mac Otakara, Apple plans to announce a new MacBook Pro "in the month" (in this month of October) whose shipments will begin at the end of this same October.

Mac Otakara, alluding to a "reliable Chinese supplier," notes that the Cupertino-based company will launch two MacBook Pro models whose screens will be 13 and 15 inches. At the same time, Apple will also launch a new 13-inch Air however, the smallest model, the 11,6-inch Air, would be relegated to oblivion, without receiving any updates.

The eternal wait for the new MacBook Pro

At the time of writing this article we are on Tuesday October 18 and the general feeling is that the month will end without us attending the much-rumored renewal of Apple's MacBook Pro and, incidentally, also of the Air. During the day yesterday we were attentive; We expected the sending of invitations to a possible Apple event in which, adjusting the calendar to the maximum, the company would present that long-awaited update. The day ended and nothing happened. Does this mean that Apple is not updating its notebook line this year?

Users wait impatiently and the media do not give up, they insist that October will not end without us seeing a renewal of the MacBook Pro. This is what the Japanese site maintains Mac Otakara whose record of successes, remember, is not exactly the best. However, this site claims that "reliable Chinese supplier" has informed you that Apple to launch two new 13-inch and 15-inch MacBook Pro models, and an updated 13-inch MacBook Air.

It's not too late

The truth is that it is not too late for it, and Mac Otakara could well be right. Although the changes that are rumored for the MacBook Pro are well worth a special event by the company, the truth is that Apple could opt for a "silent launch", exempt from show, in such a way that one fine day, when we enter their website, we find the new available MacBook Pro and Macbook Air models. It would not be the first time he has done it and, I am afraid, it would not be the last. If this is your plan, you can do it at any time and consequently, it is not too late yet and there is practically half a month ahead.

And what news do we expect?

In any case, rumors of an update or, rather, renewal of Apple's MacBook Pro is something that it comes from months ago, always pointing towards the month of October as the moment of its presentation and launch.

The new MacBook Pros are expected to be something lighter than the current ones, with a body thinner which, to a large extent, would be achieved by introducing a flat keyboard.

The big news would be the introduction of a OLED touch panel along the entire top to the keyboard. This panel would replace the current row of function keys and would offer different options based on the application we are working on.

News that would integrate the new MacBook Pro 2016

Additionally, the 2016 MacBook Pro could also introduce a touch ID, which could be on the same on / off button and it would allow its unlocking in the same way as it does on the iPhone or iPad.

Both the new MacBook Pro models that will replace existing models, such as that new 13-inch MacBook Air that Mac Otakara talks about, will include USB-C ports with support for Thunderbolt 3.

Previous rumors and leaks have suggested that the next MacBook Pro will include four USB-C ports, suppressing the SD card slot, HDMI port, USB-A ports, and the now-traditional MagSafe connection.

As we said, it is not yet clear whether or not Apple will hold a special event announcing the new models of MacBook Pro and Air. Looking at the calendar, I would bet on a silent update that will arrive in a matter of days.
