LG's UltraFine 5K monitor appears sold out in the American Apple Store, new models in sight

For a few hours now, LG's UltraFine 5K monitor has shown itself as out of stock at the Apple Store in the United States, which could be the first sign that a renewal is approaching in this section, a renewal that could see the light in the next WWDC that will be held in a month.

However, if we take a look at the Spanish Apple Store, we see how this monitor is still available and also with immediate delivery, so it is likely due to a stock problem or that they are getting rid of the last units before hanging the out of stock sign.

If Apple is confirmed to have stopped selling this monitor, the UltraFine 5k would follow in the footsteps of the UltraFine 4k that stopped selling in April, which will force users interested in renewing their monitor for one of similar resolution to wait for the WWDC or resort to the different alternatives that we can find outside the Apple Store.

Last February, analyst Ming-Chi Kuo claimed that Apple could be working on a new 31.6-inch monitor with a 6K panel, panel that would use Mini LED technology. According to this analyst, the launch of this new monitor it would take place in the following months.

LG UltraFine 4k and 5k will hit the market in 2016 as a substitute recommended by Apple itself for Cinema Displays, monitors that had not been updated for too long and that at that time could no longer meet the needs of users.

LG's UltraFine 5k monitor features a 27-inch IPS-type screen offers us a resolution of 5.220 x 2.880 and a wide P3 color gamut. It has a single Thunderbolt 3 cable with up to 85W of power that allows us to charge our MacBook Pro. It also integrates integrated stereo speakers, camera and microphone.
