Yesterday afternoon, Apple officially presented the new versions of macOS, number 10.15 and baptized as Big Sur, Watch 7, TvOS 14, iOS 14 and iPadOS 14. Of all these novelties we have published different articles showing you the most important details. But what really matters to the user, especially among those who do not update every device year, is compatibility.
With the arrival of macOS Big Sur, the new version of macOS is no longer compatible with all Macs that hit the market in 2012. That does not mean that you are forced to renew your device, unless you want to enjoy the new and renewed version that will come from the hand of macOS 10.15. If the team works for another year or two you can stretch the team.
If we talk about the compatibility of the Apple Watch, we find that the next version of watchOS, number 7, will be compatible from Series 3. Obviously, all the new features that will come from the hand of watchOS 7 will not be available on this model. Let's hope that at least the function that allows you to monitor sleep is not one of them, since we currently have at our disposal different applications that monitor sleep that are compatible with the Apple Watch Series 1.
What's new in watchOS 7
This year, practically like the previous one, the news that will arrive from the Apple Watch operating system is reduced to the possibility of monitoring sleep, a function that keeps track of the time we are washing our hands (to check that we do it correctly) and the possibility of share spheres.
It is likely that in the presentation of the Apple Watch Series 6, Apple include some new hardware functionality that you have not submitted. It is probably an option that monitors blood oxygen in order to more efficiently monitor the sleep cycles of users.
